After a year of performing internationally and sharing her music with audiences around the world, Ghanaian-American artist Amaarae is returning home.
She will mark her homecoming with The Blackout: Amaarae Homecoming Concert on Tuesday, 6th January 2026 at The Underbridge Annex in Accra. The event will also conclude her Black Star world tour.
The concert will feature Amaarae’s distinctive genre-blending sound, alongside visual and performance elements. In a nod to her roots, she has teamed up with Accra-based iMullar Sound System, a collective that has played a key role in shaping the city’s electronic, alternative, and experimental music scene.

Together, they will curate a line-up of local and regional DJs, including TMSKDJ, DJ OJ, Kofi Kayy, and DJ Baaba, with further acts to be announced.

The Blackout aims to connect different generations of Ghanaian music. While Amaarae has performed on major international stages, including Coachella where she became the first Ghanaian female artist to appear the concert will also pay tribute to the artists and sounds that influenced her.
Attendees can expect surprise guest performances from established Ghanaian musicians, highlighting the past, present, and future of the country’s music scene.
