Ghana has been confirmed as host of the 2026 Africa Aquatics Swimming Championships.
The six-day continental championship will take place from May 5-10, 2026, at the Borteyman Sports Complex in Accra.
The edition will adopt a modified format for the first time, featuring competitions for Seniors, Juniors, Masters, as well as Inter-Zonal Championships.
The Bureau of Africa Aquatics expressed its appreciation to Ghana for its continued commitment and support towards the development of aquatic sports on the continent.
Ghana has steadily established itself as a hub for African swimming, having successfully hosted several major events in recent years, including the AA Junior & Senior Swimming and Open Water Championships in 2021, the Africa Aquatics Zone II Junior Championships in August 2023 and the Africa Aquatics Zone II Junior and Senior Championships in 2025.
