Thousands of members of Kristo Asafo and residents of Kumasi gathered at the Prempeh Assembly Hall to participate in the thanksgiving service held in honour of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
The service attracted dignitaries, church members, sympathisers and well-wishers from across the country, who joined the family to pay their final respects to the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo.
His daughter, Adwoa Safo, together with her siblings and other family members, were present to commemorate their father’s final funeral rites and thanksgiving service.

Some Kristo Asafo members who spoke to Adom News reporter Kwadwo Obeng Mireku expressed their appreciation to Adwoa Safo and her siblings for organising what they described as a befitting final farewell for the late Apostle.
They praised Adwoa Safo for remaining committed to completing the funeral rites despite the challenges they encountered.
“Honestly, we are happy that we have been able to bring our father’s funeral rites to a successful end here in Kumasi and today the rainbow symbol appears in the sky symbolising Apostle Kwadwo Safo was indeed an African star. All praise and honour be to God for His wonders. We also thank and bless Adwoa Safo for her boldness and determination to give her father a befitting final farewell,” one said.
The thanksgiving service was held mainly inside the Prempeh Assembly Hall, which was filled to capacity, while several other sympathisers and church members gathered outside the venue.
The final funeral rites for the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo commenced in Accra on July 30 and 31, with the thanksgiving service subsequently held in Kumasi.
The ceremony ended successfully, with security personnel deployed at the venue to maintain peace and order throughout the event.
