Ghanaian defender, Lee Addy, has stated that African legend, Abedi Pele taught him many things that helped shaped his career in the long run.
Addy started his club career in 2007 at Nania FC, a club owned and coached by former Black Stars captain.
The 30-year-old later moved to Bechem Chelsea and earned moves to European clubs like Red Star Belgrade and others. He also featured for the Black Stars in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
In an interview on the Joy Sports Link on Saturday, he stated the fundamentals taught to him by the former Black Stars talisman.
"Abedi taught me how to play. Abedi Pele had something called character and I think Dede Ayew has it now. [He showed us] the fighting spirit and what you are going to meet outside the country," he told Nathaniel Attoh.
"The European club who is coming to buy you is expecting that you play ten times better than the players there so you have to be fit and concentrated. You have to be very strong because they will frustrate you. Abedi taught us all these things."
"Abedi had everything. Everybody testified to his greatness. I watched his videos. I watched him playing in the national team for a while too. At the time I started watching him, he had everything."
