Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten has condemned the assault on his North East Regional Coordinator during the NPP Super-Delegates elections conducted on Saturday.
According to him, the action was unwarranted and needly as his representative did nothing wrong at the voting centre.
In a press release issued on Sunday, August 27, he said the incident was a blot on the party's internal democratic process.

"I would however like to express my deep sorrow about the brutal assault on my polling agent in the North East Region. This is an indelible blot on the integrity of the internal democratic process within the NPP."

Meanwhile, he also said he will deliver a public broadcast within the week on the way forward for his campaign.
"The A4P Campaign Coordination team is currently analysing the results of the Special Electoral College Election, and in the course of this week, I will deliver a public broadcast on the way forward for my campaign," the statement added.
The North East Regional Coordinator for Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten was attacked during the elections.
According to Ali Zakaria, he was beaten mercilessly when he questioned some voters who lifted up their ballot paper to the full view of the delegates after voting.

He told JoyNews, that some unidentified delegates attacked him; leaving him with a swollen eye and bruises on his face.
But the party's Communications Director for the North-East Region, Walibe Amos has said reports involving an alleged mob action on the campaign coordinator for Alan Kyeremanten have been blown out of proportion.

In a press statement sighted by JoyNews, he explained that the incident was an altercation between the agent in question and the regional youth organiser of the party and not an attack by thugs.
