Nana John Gyamfi, Oti Regional Liaison Campaign Coordinator for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, has expressed profound gratitude to delegates for the overwhelming support shown in the just-ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary.
He called on Ghanaians to join what he described as Dr Bawumia’s “victory train” ahead of the 2028 general elections, stressing the need for unity and collective effort to secure national success.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Nana Gyamfi urged supporters of all presidential aspirants to rally behind Dr Bawumia’s vision now that the internal contest has concluded.
He further appealed to floating voters and the public to support the former Vice President, noting confidently that Dr Bawumia “has already won the 2028 election.”
Nana Gyamfi congratulated the other contenders in the primary for their participation and encouraged sustained unity within the NPP.
Dr Bawumia’s nationwide campaign has been met with massive support. As part of his proposed reforms, he announced plans to introduce a Database Welfare System (DBWS) to consolidate and streamline access to information on party members.
He also pledged that under his leadership, 3,000 out of the expected 7,000 governance appointments would be allocated directly to constituencies to ensure equity and inclusiveness.
Additionally, Dr Bawumia proposed a Constituency-Based Budget System aimed at properly documenting and addressing development challenges unique to each constituency.
