The Black Stars of Ghana have moved up a place from 53rd in FIFA’s world rankings released for September.
Earlier this month, the Black Stars beat Zimbabwe in a double-header of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, fetching the team more points in the rankings.
A 3-1 win in Cape Coast and a 1-0 win away in Harare, saw the Black Stars make a short jump from 53rd to 52nd in the world.
Ghana remains in seventh on CAF’s rankings.
Senegal is the highest ranked African country in the global rankings, lying in 20th.
The Black Stars will face Ethiopia and South Africa in November for a place in Qatar's edition of the World Cup.
