The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has warned that localised thunderstorms are expected to develop later today across parts of the country, particularly along the coast, immediate inland areas, and sections of the middle belt.
In its latest weather forecast, the Agency said the storms are likely to occur from late afternoon into the evening, following generally sunny conditions with periodic cloudiness earlier in the day.
GMet noted that while much of the country will experience fair weather during the afternoon, residents in areas prone to the anticipated thunderstorms should take precautionary measures, especially as the rains may be accompanied by strong winds.
"The northern and transition sectors will experience dry and hazy conditions of varying intensities throughout the forecast period," GMet said.
The Agency also indicated that relatively cool conditions are expected during the night and early morning hours in these areas.
