Bibiani GoldStars claimed a crucial 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman at the Dun's Park to mount more pressure on league leaders, Heart of Lions.
Following their 1-1 draw against Karela United last week, which cost them the top spot, GoldStars were determined to return to winning ways.
Michael Nkoah broke the deadlock on the stroke of halftime, finding the net in the 45th minute to reward GoldStars' first-half dominance.
The lead was doubled in the second half by debutant Foster Agyei, whose composed finish highlighted his immense potential.
Nsoatreman, however, got one back via a late goal but it was too little, too late to mount a comeback.
The result sees GoldStars level on 27 points with league leaders Heart of Lions, who remain too of the table on goal difference.
GoldStars will face Asante Kotoko on Christmas Eve clash, while Nsoatreman host Medeama in their next fixture.
