In-form Heart of Lions make a trip to Samreboi to face struggling FC Samartex at the Nsenkyere Sports Arena in week 13 of the Ghana Premier League.
The visitors are in a rich vein of form this term, boasting a five-game unbeaten run that includes four victories, and are one of the two teams in the 18-club league with the fewest defeats (L1).
Bashir Hayford’s side’s form appears nothing short of impressive, having faced household opponents, including two-time champions Aduana FC, 21-time winners Hearts of Oak, and record-holders Asante Kotoko (25 titles), and remained undefeated.
The Volta-based club, who sit third on the table with 21 points - two shy of the top spot - now seek to add defending champions FC Samartex to their list of casualties.
In stark contrast, Samartex are on a patchy run, which was accentuated by back-to-back defeats in their last two matches.
The Timber Giants, led by Nurudeen Amadu, sit ninth on the log with 17 points and hope to arrest their slump in form with a win over the Lions.
