Heart of Lions are looking to continue their winning momentum as they host Berekum Chelsea in Match Week 10 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
After a solid 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko, Bashir Hayford’s squad is determined to make it three consecutive wins.
Despite Hayford’s absence due to a five-match ban, the Kpando-based team is focused on extending their streak, having edged past both Nsoatreman and Kotoko with narrow 1-goal wins.
The Lions appear to have regained their rhythm after a mixed start to the season, which saw them notch two wins, five draws, and one loss. They currently sit seventh on the table with 14 points.
Meanwhile, Samuel Boadu’s Berekum Chelsea is intent on securing points away from home with a disciplined approach.
Following their first loss to Samartex and a 2-2 draw against newcomers Basake Holy Stars at Golden City Park, Boadu’s side is eager to stabilize their form.
Chelsea is currently fifth on the league table, also with 14 points, having scored nine goals and conceded six.
In their previous eight encounters since the 2012/13 season, Hearts of Lions hold the upper hand with four wins and two draws, while Berekum Chelsea has secured only two victories.
Kickoff is set for 3:00 pm on Sunday, promising an intense matchup as both teams aim to climb the league standings.
