A second half strike from Isaac Oppong ensured Asante Kotoko make it three wins out of three after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bibiani Goldstars on Friday.
The result extends Asante Kotoko's lead at the top as they go three points clear of King Faisal who host AshantiGold this weekend.
The Duns park was vibrant providing an incredible atmosphere for Goldstars, who started on the front foot.
The home side created numerous chances but Razak Abalora was up to the task making three crucial interventions in the first half.
10 minutes after the half-time break, the league leaders took the lead against the round of play through Isaac Oppong, who was starting his first league game.
The teenager took the Goldstars keeper by surprise with a curler from outside the box to give the Porcupines the lead.
Goldstars continued to push for the equaliser but Abalora stood tall denying Prince Owusu after the forward was put through on goal in added time.
Invincibility at Duns park breached
One of the main factors that contributed to Bibiani Goldstars' promotion from Division One was their home form.
Goldstars were the first club across all three Division One zones to gain promotion.
Their home form helped them achieve this feat as they went the entire season without losing at home.

In 15 league games at the Duns park, Goldstars won 12 and drew 3.
In their first topflight game of the season, the people of Sefwi and Bibiani township turned up in their numbers to witness history as they beat Berekum Chelsea 1-0.
It was their first win of the season which set the tone for how the club will fare when they host clubs.
Kotoko may have ended Goldstars' unbeaten run, but the hosts will be proud of the performance and will remain confident of picking more points at the Duns park this season.
Oppong risk pays off
Isaac Oppong announced himself to the Kotoko faithfuls in week 1 when he stole the show against Dreams FC.
His 15-minute cameo saw the teenager score one goal and provide two assists to help the Porcupine Warriors turn the game around.
In the next league game against Bechem United, Prosper Narteh Ogum handed Oppong more minutes subbing him on in the 52nd minute. He once again played a role as he won a penalty in the dying embers of the game to help the Reds take the lead.

Coming into a difficult game against Goldstars, there were divided opinions on whether Oppong should continue as a substitute or whether he was ready to start his first game for the club.
Coach Narteh Ogum felt the winger was ready and handed him his first start of the season.
Oppong repaid his coach's faith and scored the winning goal with panache.
It came as no surprise that he immediately run to hug Narteh Ogum after scoring the goal.
At a young age, a lot will depend on how Kotoko's technical team manage Oppong to bring the best out of him.
