Former Ghana international John Paintsil has called on ex-players to be grateful to the current administration of the Ghana Football Association in their attempts to develop the game in the country.
According to Paintsil, several initiatives have been put in place to ensure that game is moved to the next step under the Kurt Okraku-led team.
In a recent interview with Asempa FM, the ex-Black Stars right-back hailed the GFA, commending them for the recent additions to the development plan which includes the Ghana Football Association School and the Women's Football Strategy.
"We the ex-players have had the opportunity to start our coaching career under the Kurt Okraku administration. Under this administration we get the opportunity to be involved in several activities. The FA has set up the GFA school, this is not like the primary and secondary schools. This is for coaches, and this is for us to learn," he said.
The 42-year-old also praised the GFA’s efforts to give opportunities for young women to gain interest
in the game.
"Another development area is the effort at giving women's football in the country like the
catch them young," he added.
