Kowa Naso have been crowned champions of the second edition of the Thomas Partey Tournament after defeating defending champions D-Wise XI 3-1 in the final.
A total of 12 teams took part in the competition, all vying for the $1,000 cash prize. The tournament also served as a platform for young players to showcase their talents in front of local and international scouts who were in attendance.
Kowa Naso and D-Wise XI booked their places in the final after dramatic semi-final victories. Kowa Naso edged past Field Masters 2-1, while D-Wise XI triumphed 6-5 on penalties against Sporting Club.

Public Relations Officer for the Thomas Partey Tournament, Samuel Ziga, expressed his satisfaction with how the event unfolded.
“It’s been massive— a significant improvement on what we experienced last year,” Ziga said.
“We had the main man himself, Thomas Partey, present. Everyone was thrilled to have him here for this special occasion. This is only the second edition, and I must say, it’s already impressive.
I love how Ghanaians continue to support Thomas Partey.
"This project is dear to his heart — he wants to give back to mother Ghana, and this tournament is one way of supporting the young players who aspire to become professionals. For the next edition, I’m expecting something even more spectacular.”
The next edition of the tournament will take place in December.
