The Deputy National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Osman Ayariga, has expressed firm optimism that the party’s parliamentary candidate, Baba Jamal, will emerge victorious in the Ayawaso East by-election.
Mr Ayariga projected that the NDC candidate would secure no less than 60 per cent of the total votes cast, irrespective of voter turnout.
He indicated that the party’s internal assessments and ground operations pointed to a comfortable margin of victory.
According to him, the NDC’s extensive grassroots mobilisation efforts and longstanding support base within the constituency have positioned the party strongly ahead of the polls.
He maintained that the campaign has resonated with residents and energised supporters across the area.
He further suggested that the by-election presents an opportunity for the party to consolidate its influence in Ayawaso East, expressing confidence in the preparedness of its campaign team and polling agents.
Voting is currently underway at various polling stations across the constituency.
