The Ghana Police Service has announced a reward of GH₵20,000 for credible information leading to the arrest of a group of individuals wanted for threatening violence in Obuasi ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The suspects, identified as Fuseini Yahuza, Bernard Ahedor, Simon, Basit, and Musa Yakubu, also known as "Agya Musah," along with their accomplices, have been on the run since November 15, 2024.
In a viral video, the individuals made alarming statements aimed at disrupting the December polls, prompting widespread concern.

The police, in an earlier statement dated November 15, described the group’s actions as "a breach of public peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29)" and declared them wanted.

In a statement issued on November 24, the Police appealed to the public to support the ongoing operation in search of the suspects by providing information that could lead to their arrest.
"A reward of twenty thousand cedis (GH₵ 20,000.00) is being offered for any person who provides credible information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
Anyone with credible information may contact the Police through a dedicated phone number 0547927272," the statement noted.
The Police further assured the public of their commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly environment as the nation approaches the polls.
