A shoemaker, 26, who used broken bottles to inflict severe wounds on a patron at a popular drinking bar at Bokankye, in the Atwima-Nwabiagya South Municipality, has been remanded into police custody by the Nkawie circuit court.Kwaku Boateng is said to have attacked his victim without any provocation at about 2240 hours, on November 03, this year.His plea was not taken and would reappear before the court presided over by Mr Michael Johnson Abbey, on December 11, this year.Prosecuting, Detective Inspector Anthony Acheampong told the court that, the victim, Philip Nyarko was waiting for his brother at the drinking spot when the accused suddenly appeared and attacked him without any provocation.He said the victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment and afterwards it was reported to the police. Inspector Acheampong said the accused was arrested and after investigations, charged and brought before the court.
