The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, is expected to give an official ruling on whether the Member of Parliament for Kpandai, Matthew Nyindam, is eligible to conduct business in the House.
This follows deep controversy between the minority and majority on Wednesday, November 26, where the majority insisted that the Tamale High Court’s annulment of the Kpandai constituency results effectively bars Matthew Nyindam from presenting himself as the MP for the area.

The heated exchanges forced an abrupt adjournment of proceedings yesterday, Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Matthew Nyindam has insisted that he remains the legitimate MP for the constituency despite the Tamale High Court ruling.
He said this on JoyFM’s Top Story when he responded to questions on why he continues to hold himself out as MP after the court’s decision.
