First runner-up of Big Brother Titans Season 1, Kalo Kanaga Emmanuel Eme, well known as Kanaga Junior has advised people, particularly celebrities, to stay focused on their dreams in life regardless of how others may feel negatively about them.
According to him, people undoubtedly create their own perceptions about other people’s lifestyle, but it is dependent on the individuals to keep glued to whatever he or she seeks to achieve in life.
He made these comments on Joy Prime’s morning show on Monday during an interview with KMJ, the royal host.
"If you have a dream, chase it. A lot of people will have different narratives about you. A lot of people will try to talk you down, but I tell myself that trolls are actually compliments in disguise," he said.
He believes that people put too much pressure on themselves when they try to impress others by living unrealistic lives. By this, Kanaga Jnr remarked that his stay in the reality house was successful because he lived at his own pace rather than trying to impress others.
The actor encouraged everyone to stay true to themselves, no matter how harsh the trolls or attacks on their work and growth may be.
Sharing his purpose for joining the contest, the "Ziyakhala Wahala" housemate mentioned that he participated to gain popularity.
However, after his first two weeks, the athlete became interested in the show, and remained in the house with the objective of attaining higher grounds.
"I got to the house, and we got through the fourth, fifth, and sixth weeks, and I was like, it feels good to stay; we might as well just end the game. We got through those stages and freshened up, and we’re grateful," he recalled.
Despite being injured at one point throughout the reality show, he never gave up hope and fought even harder to reach the top. He avoided controversy with other competitors and remained true to himself throughout the competition. This, he said, worked out well for him.
The 23-year-old Nigerian model expressed profound gratitude to everyone who supported him and was inspired by his efforts during and after his stay at the BB Titan’s reality house. He asserts that they keep him moving.
