Pandemonium broke out at the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) headquarters today as Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was mobbed by a crowd of party supporters and protesters, leading to violent clashes with police officers attempting to maintain order.
JoyNews coverage captured scenes of utter chaos as police struggled to control the surging crowd.
Supporters violently pushed against security officers preventing them from storming the NIB building.
The situation quickly escalated into physical confrontations, with police officers seen tossing several individuals aside, including a woman who was flung to the ground in the melee.
Amid the turmoil, Dr. Bawumia was forcefully escorted into the building as officers struggled to shield him from the crowd.
