The Minority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has assured Ghanaians of the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) commitment to honouring the trust reposed in them.
In a Facebook post on Monday, December 16, Dr Ato Forson expressed gratitude to the Ghanaian people for their massive support in the 2024 general election.
He reaffirmed the party’s dedication to serving the nation diligently and responsibly.
Dr Ato Forson’s assurance comes after Parliament was recalled for crucial deliberations.
He took the opportunity to acknowledge the significant role Ghanaians played in voting for the NDC and expressed the party’s resolve to remain accountable and transparent.
According to him, the NDC fully understands the responsibility entrusted to them and will work tirelessly to uphold it.
He further emphasised that the incoming NDC government will respect the Ghanaian people by rejecting impunity and greed.
Dr Ato Forson highlighted the party’s vision of a governance style that prioritises the well-being of citizens while promoting fairness, justice, and development.
“We will not betray your trust; we will serve with humility and integrity,” he stated.
Dr Ato Forson assured Ghanaians that the NDC will work collaboratively to address the country’s pressing challenges and restore confidence in leadership.
He called on citizens to remain united and hopeful, as the party embarks on delivering a government that reflects the aspirations of all Ghanaians.
