2024/25 GPL: Ennin begins life at Samartex with a battle against Nations FC

Defending Champions FC Samartex 1996 welcome Nations FC to the Nsenkyire Sports Arena aiming to get back to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Timber Giants heads into match in 10th position in the table with 17 points after winning one and suffering four consecutive defeats in their last five outings. They’ve scored 9 and conceded 9.

They are the sixth-best home side in the league currently and will yearn for the maximum points on Sunday.

Nations FC remained 4th in the league table with 25 points despite beaten Legon Cities 3-0 in their previous game.

They’ve won 3 and suffered 2 defeats in the last five outings, having scored the most goals this season (16) and conceded the joint lowest (5).

They are the best away side in the league currently (W4, D1, L2) and will hope to continue that impressive form on Sunday.

FC Samartex 1996 have played Nations FC once at home in the league since the Abrankese lads gained promotion into the league last season with the Timber Giants losing 1-0 at the Nsenkyire Arena.
