As part of efforts to create a sustained avenue for captains of industry to interact with young entrepreneurs through mentorship and masterclass sessions, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) is hosting the 3rd Edition of the Young Entrepreneurs Forum on 30th -31st July at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
Themed “Connect. Accelerate. Grow: Breaking Boundaries”, the event aims to continue the sensitization process of sharing GIPC’s strategy and provisions of the GIPC ACT 865, provide leadership and entrepreneurship training as well as facilitate access to resources, markets and funding for young entrepreneurs.
The two-day forum is expected to bring together over 500 participants and 50 exhibitors from the Agric and Agro-processing, Technology, Energy, Manufacturing, Banking and Non-banking as well as Fashion and Lifestyle sectors who will exhibit their products and services.
Previous editions of the GIPC YEF were held in 2017 and 2018 bringing together over a 1000 participants to engage, network and learn ways to grow their businesses.
Highlights of the forum include a Business Pitch session with twenty (20) young entrepreneurs who will be invited to deliver a 7-minute business pitch for possible financing, continued engagement or support by GIPC partners.
Winners of the first pitch session held in 2018 were Mr Samuel Gyan of JEGS Company Limited, Mr Mohammed Amin Karmah of Kharmah Farms Limited, and Ms Abena Mamle Abedi and Princess Mary Adjei of Sustainable Agro Limited.
There will also be masterclass sessions on topics such as Transitioning from a Start Up to Scale Up, Creating Strategies for Improved Sales, Global Market Entry, Internationalization and Competitor Analysis, Digital Marketing and Global Communications, Growth Hacking, and Measuring Key Performance Indicators of Growth and Performance Metrics.
