McDan Group of companies in a swift response to the COVID-19 pandemic will distribute over 5000 gallons of hand sanitisers on Monday, March 23.
Dr Daniel McKorley, Chairman of the Group, who disclosed this said this follows a shortage of hand sanitisers amid the coronavirus outbreak globally.
McDan Group partnered with Maxtachem Limited to produce 4.5litre gallons of sanitizers made from locally sourced raw materials.

President Nana Akufo-Addo implored indigenous entrepreneurs and stakeholders to produce locally developed hand sanitisers and potent drugs to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
The president's charge was partly due to the mad rush for the product in town which saw many hoarding them while others increased its price.
Dr Daniel McKorley has responded to the president’s call with this initiative through his McDan Foundation.

McDan Foundation will immediately distribute 5000 gallons of sanitiser for free to selected hospitals, security agencies, traditional authorities, organizations and communities across the country as a needed intervention.
