After a short spell at the Tarkwa-based club, Medeama SC have sacked their coaching duo, Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong.
Medeama SC took a decision on Friday as management decided not to extend the expiring contracts of Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong.
The two highly rated and experienced coaches took over Samuel Boadu’s coaching staff as he departed for the newly crowned Ghana Premier League Champions, Accra Hearts of Oak.
"We would like to thank coaches Yaw Preko and Yaw Acheampong for successfully ending their contracts with the club," the club said in a statement on Friday.
Management of Medeama expressed their unhappiness with results since the departure of Boadu and will now look to find a replacement for the head coaching role ahead of the upcoming season.
The Mauve and Yellows who were top of the league at a point in the second round ended the season in fifth place, whilst being knocked out of the MTN FA Cup in the semi-finals.
Evans Adotey, a former coach of the club, has been tipped for a return to Medeama with pre-season looming.
