Hamburg forward, Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer, says he is ready to represent the Black Stars despite playing for Germany at the youth level.
The German-born Ghanaian was part of five players whose nationality switch was confirmed by the Ghana Football Association last month.
Konigsdorffer played for Germany at youth levels and was recently a member of the U21 team but has chosen to play for Ghana ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar.
"I would be willing to play for Ghana. I already met with Otto Addo last December, when he was not yet a national coach," the player told Bild.
"Since then, we have been in close contact. I'm already taking care of the Ghanaian passport. I would be happy if I could be part of the next international matches in September.
"My father is from Ghana, he would be very proud of me if I could play for his fatherland now. Besides, it's probably easier to become a senior international there."
In three games in the 2022/23 season, the 20-year-old has scored twice, netting both goals in the DFB Pokal win over Bayreuth.
