Entertainment pundit, Sally Mann has applauded actress, Yvonne Nelson for revealing the truth about her life.
According to her, it takes a person who is bold and tough to make the decision to disclose his or her life to the entire world.
Sally says she will never fault anyone, particularly celebrities who share their stories with the world, as she believes that it allows them to connect more with their fans and loved ones.
"I think it’s a bold decision, and you know I like boldness. The fact that she was able to mention names without missing any word, Yvonne, nobody comes close to you," she said on Joy Prime’s morning show on Tuesday.
On Sunday, June 18, 2023, Yvonne launched a book about her life experience titled ‘I am not Yvonne Nelson’, revealing among other things an affair she had with rapper Sarkodie in 2010, which resulted in a pregnancy.
In the book, she recounts her decision to terminate the pregnancy because the rapper did not accept responsibility, and how she later found out that the rapper had another girlfriend who was studying at a university abroad.
In Chapter 8 of the book, the actress narrated how she went through the pregnancy termination. The actress also talks about her emotional struggles in her quest to find out who her real father is, and how her mum had lied to her in that regard.
Reacting to the book release, Sally Mann said, "Maybe I don’t have deeper issues like she has. If I had committed an abortion and it’s taunting me or I’m guilty of it, I may want to share the story... If Yvonne is shedding light on teenage pregnancy or unwanted pregnancy, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that."
Yvonne’s revelations in her book have sparked controversy on social media, with many wondering why she freely named some persons in the book.
But the entertainment pundit loves the fact that the actress has been able to own and accept all her flaws by putting them in a write-up.
