Former Ghana forward, Augustine Ahinful, believes Iñaki Williams is playing out of position at the Black Stars.
The former Borussia Dortmund player also added that the Athletic Club attacker is struggling to score for Ghana after nine games because he’s not getting the supplies from his teammates.
“He is not receiving the necessary services in the Black Stars," Ahinful told Graphic Sports. "I believe he is being played out of position because in Bilbao he plays from the flanks.
“He has never been the centre person to strike so the coach should identify where he can play and fit him.
“The handlers of the national team should identify a proper position to play him because his club does not play him as a centre-forward."
29-year-old Iñaki Williams switched nationality from Spain to represent Ghana in June 2022 ahead of the World Cup.
He has since predominantly played as a centre-forward, a position he doesn’t play often recently at Athletic Club.
This season, Inaki has two goals and one assist in five LaLiga games.
