Musician Peter Famiyeh Bozah, well known as Fameye, said he had been seeing pastors for spiritual aid and blessings in his music journey.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, the ‘Praise’ hitmaker shared his story of how he was made to buy various items from the church in his bid to overcome poverty and also succeed in his music career.
“Back then, I had one person who told me to pay some pastors for oils and handkerchiefs. I later got to realize that I worked hard and I didn’t think all these I had been doing paid off at that point,” he said.
Fameye further stated that he doesn’t believe the oils and handkerchiefs he took had an impact on his life. And even if so, he deems it as his own hard work and faith in God, and that had proved fruitful and made his music journey, successful.
“They were not working. How would I even know? Maybe, it’s now reflecting because it’s been a long time since I had gone there. Moreover, it’s only God that can come to my rescue,” he added.
The ‘Not God’ singer further clarified that even if his success could be attributed to the items he took from the church, he would not be able to trace the specific church or pastor.
“I cannot give specifications to one particular church whose oil or handkerchief might have worked for me because I have gone to a lot of churches,” he said on Hitz FM.
