Hearts of Oak fell to yet another defeat in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday as they lost to Bibiani GoldStars.
Mawuli Wayo came off the bench to score the only goal of the game at the Accra Sports Stadium with the Miners taking advantage of a blunder by the Hearts goalkeeper.
Sharif Shuaib's quest for a quick counterattack backfired as his delivery came off a GoldStars player in the penalty box before the ball fell kindly to Wayo, who scored for the visitors.
The defeat marks back-to-back losses for the Phobians since Aboubakar Ouattara was named head coach of the club in the second round of the season.
Elsewhere, Samartex reclaimed their position at the top of the league table following their narrow win over Medeama at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex.
Francis Gyetuah's 38th-minute strike was all it needed for Nurudeen Amadu's side to claim all three points and return to the summit of the standings.
Aduana Football Club were 3-1 winners at home over Real Tamale United who continue to struggle in the top-flight. The Tamale-based side have just one win in their last seven games.
Nsoatreman and Berekum Chelsea played out a goalless stalemate while Karela United piped Heart of Lions to claim a 1-0 win.
Accra Lions also defeated Bofoakwa Tano with Nations FC seeing off Great Olympics.
The matchday 24 results mean Samartex continue their lead at the top of the table with two points above Nations while Aduana and Accra Lions follow closely.
The bottom three, however, has Bofoakwa, Heart of Lions and RTU.
