Asante Kotoko will be chasing back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they welcome Accra Lions on matchday five of the Ghana Premier League.
The game which is scheduled for Sunday, October 6, will be played at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the new season and sit second on the league table after four games played.
After picking up two consecutive draws against Berekum Chelsea and Young Apostles, Kotoko beat Nsoatreman in midweek with Elvis Kyei Baffour scoring the only goal of the game.
Accra Lions, on the other side, recorded their first win of the season last weekend, claiming a 3-1 win over Nsoatreman.
Prior to their first win of the season, Ibrahim Tanko's men had managed just one point in their opening three games, losing against Medeama and Vision FC before the draw against Karela United.
Head-to-head stats
Since coming into the league, Accra Lions have played Kotoko on six occasions. The Accra-based side have only won once against the Porcupine Warriors. That win came last season when Lions claimed a 2-3 win at the Baba Yara Stadium.
For Kotoko, there have been four wins for them in their meetings with Accra Lions. This month marks one year since their last win over the club, a 0-1 victory in Accra.
The other encounter ended in a stalemate.
Ahead of the game, Kotoko boss, Prosper Narteh Ogum has called on his players to remain focus despite their good start to the season.
"The boys are doing well. We need to encourage them and then make sure that we keep the determination, the intensity and our sense of focus. I will say the boys are doing well," he said.
The game is scheduled for a 15:00 GMT kickoff.
