Forward Kwame Opoku has rejoined Asante Kotoko on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The 25-year-old signed the contract as a free agent and is now subject to a medical and international transfer clearance.
Opoku, who featured for the Porcupines in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season before departing midway, had talked about having "unfinished business" with the club.
He scored seven goals for Kotoko before signing for Algerian side USM Alger and subsequently for Moroccan outfit Olympique Khouribga.
“It’s a great feeling to be back at Kotoko," Opoku said to the club's media.
"This club has always felt like home to me, and I’m eager to contribute to the team’s success. The support from the fans has been incredible, even during my time away, and I’m ready to give everything on the pitch to make them proud.”
Head Coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum also added: "His time in Algeria and Morocco has sharpened his skills and added to his experience. He’s a proven goal scorer and creator, and I’m confident he will bring a lot of quality to our squad.”
Despite the announcement, the striker will not be available for Kotoko's upcoming super clash against Hearts of Oak on December 15 in week 13 of the Premier League.
