Asante Kotoko advanced to the last 16 of the MTN FA Cup following their win over Accerler8z FC on Sunday, January 12.
Kwame Opoku and Henry were both on the scoresheet for the Porcupine Warriors as they ease their way past the lower tier side in the round of 32.
Saaka Dauda won a penalty in the 40th minute after being brought down by the goalkeeper having rounded him.
Opoku, who had scored in his previous two games, made no mistake from the penalty spot as he scored to open the scoring for the Kumasi-based side.
The forward should have doubled the lead just two minutes into the second half but his shot from close range was blocked by the defence.
Accerler8z created very few opportunities that troubled Kotoko with the latter enjoyed the most of possession as well.
Just when the game seemed to be ending 0-1, Ansu grabbed the second for Kotoko to wrap up the victory and send Prosper Narteh Ogum's side to the next round of the competition.
