The Black Queens will receive a fair attention as far as funding is concerned, according to Ghana’s minister designate for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams.
In the last two years where there has been resurgence for the women’s national teams, there have been moments where they are owed bonuses.
Last year, the Black Queens failed to play friendly matches against Senegal and Tunisia after the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports failed to raise funds for the two games.
Speaking on Sporty FM on Friday, January 31, Adams assured the team could be set for a new dawn under a new administration.
“I can assure the Black Queens that they will not be left out [when it comes to funding and support],” he said.
The Queens, who have also just had a new head coach in Kim Lars Bjorkegren, will welcome the assurance in good faith as they gear up for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
