Head coach of Vision FC, Nana Kweku Agyeman, is optimistic about his team’s chances as they prepare to host Heart of Lions at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Sunday, March 9, 2025, for a matchday 23 encounter in the Ghana Premier League.
Heart of Lions, currently third in the standings - just one point behind league leaders Bibiani GoldStars - will be eager to return to winning ways after narrowly losing to Hearts of Oak in their last game before the league’s suspension.
Despite that setback, Bashiru Hayford’s side has had an impressive campaign, recording nine wins, six draws, and four losses in their 19 games so far.
Meanwhile, Vision FC will aim to build on their recent victory against Accra Lions.
Although the newly promoted side sits just five points above the relegation zone, their consistent performances suggest they are on course to retain their top-flight status next season.
“Beating Accra Lions gave us momentum, but then the league was halted. Now, we need to rebuild that momentum,” Nana Kweku Agyeman said in his pre-match press conference.
“We need to excite our fans, give them something to look forward to, and also set high expectations for ourselves. As a technical team, we have done our job, and now we hope to go to Tema and secure a win against Heart of Lions on Sunday,” he added.
In their only previous league encounter, Heart of Lions emerged victorious in an action-packed game that ended 1-0.
