Ghanaian teen sensation Raymond Dwomoh has sealed a permanent five-year contract with Swedish top-flight side Hammarby IF, following a standout loan spell with their development team, Hammarby TFF.
The 18-year-old centre-back, who joined from Ghanaian side Inter Allies last summer, quickly impressed with a string of dominant displays for Hammarby’s U-20s and earned occasional call-ups to the senior squad.
“It’s a dream come true for me as an African player,” Raymond told JoySports via Zoom.
“What I’m expecting is to develop myself here and help the team win trophies. The dream starts now.”
“Through hard work, I’m hoping to play in top clubs and top leagues within the next two years,” the ambitious youngster added.
Dwomoh has drawn attention for his unique blend of aggression, pace, vision, and ball retention—a rare mix in a player so young. Calm under pressure and sharp in reading the game, he has already emerged as one of the most promising defensive prospects in Europe.
Hammarby moved quickly to secure his services long-term, and the deal marks a significant step in the promising career of the stoic yet explosive Ghanaian defender.
