The chiefs and people of Cape Coast in the Central Region on Saturday celebrated their annual Oguaa Fetu Afahye Festival.
The festival, which attracted people from all walks of life, highlighted the colourful and rich culture of the people of Ghana’s first capital.
The event featured cultural performances and traditional displays by various Asafo groups. Chiefs and Queen Mothers, led by Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, Paramount Chief of Cape Coast, were carried through the principal streets of the town in a grand procession.
This year’s celebration, held under the theme “Innovate to Elevate,” witnessed massive patronage, including the participation of foreigners.
