Ghana’s campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been mapped out, with the Black Stars handed a series of late-night kick-off times during the group stage.

The fixtures, released after Friday’s draw, place Ghana in Group L alongside Panama, England, and Croatia, with all matches scheduled in the United States and spread across Toronto, Boston, and Philadelphia.

Ghana open their tournament against Panama on Wednesday, 17 June at 23:00 GMT in Toronto, which is quite a late start for Ghanaians back home.

The Black Stars’ second group match against England comes on Tuesday, 23 June at 20:00 GMT in Boston.

Ghana will close their group-stage campaign against Croatia on Saturday, 27 June at 22:00 GMT in Philadelphia. The encounter could prove decisive for qualification to the next phase of the competition.

Ghana coach, Otto Addo, reacting to the draw said, "surely we take it match by match. We want to win every match, that is for sure."

Meanwhile, England boss, Thomas Tuchel described the pairing as a "difficult group with Croatia and Ghana, two regulars in World Cups and two proud and strong nations.

"Panama, I don't know much about Panama at the moment but we will find out about it before the tournament starts, of course."

For Croatia coach Zlatko Dalić, he stated that “from the first pot we got one of the toughest national teams, England. It’s a bit unfortunate that we’re playing them in the opening match, which is the most important one because it sets the tone at the start. We’ll have to be ready for that match.

"Panama and Ghana are opponents we can play against and achieve a good result. We will scout them well.”
