Supporters of New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua and other aspirants have gathered at the party’s headquarters ahead of his nomination filing today, August 24.
Mr Kodua is seeking to retain the position in the October 3 election, where he will face three other contenders: former Subin Member of Parliament Eugene Boakye Antwi, Slyvester Tetteh, and Charles Dwamena.
The gathering comes as Mr Kodua prepares to formally submit his nomination, marking the beginning of his campaign to secure another term as the NPP’s general secretary.
The October 3 election will determine who takes over the party’s general secretariat for the next term, with Mr Kodua seeking to retain the position against three challengers.
Vetting of aspirants is scheduled for August 31 to September 3, with the results expected on September 5. Appeals will be heard from September 6 to 7, while the national delegates are scheduled to vote on October 3, 2026.
