Ghana Black Stars' unfortunate exit in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) has left Ghanaians, who were urged by President Akufo-Addo to be supportive of the team, downhearted.
On Tuesday, the senior national soccer team were overpowered by newcomers, Comoros in their last group game in Group C. The game ended with the scoreline at 3:2 in favour of Comoros.
Reacting to the unprecedented knockout, Ningo-Prampram MP, Sam Nartey George in a tweet noted that he is mourning the demise of the national team.
Please where are they selling the 3yi3 ntoma? I want three thousand billion million yards. Chief mourner san3 https://t.co/XeSvN06PHm

Interacting with seasoned journalist Nana Aba Anamoah, he said: "Please where are they selling the 3yi3 ntoma? I want three thousand billion million yards. Chief mourner san3."
Mr Nartey George in subsequent tweets hinted at the need to disband the Black Stars and build a whole new team. This is to ensure Black Stars gain its former glory and the hearts of all Ghanaians.
Dear @thenanaaba, please do you remember what I said during our interview about disbanding the Black Stars and avoiding international competitions? About the need to build a whole new team? Comoros 🇰🇲 is doing the do! They should just continue to their various clubs from there.🦁

To the foreign-based players, the MP urged them to "just continue to their various clubs from there (Cameroon)."
The "Dzata" legislator further added that since the tournament has ended for the team, the local players should "come and queue to register your SIM card".

Ahead of the tournament being held in Cameroon, Mr Nartey George was optimistic the Black Stars would be able to deliver and bring down their contenders despite the challenges they faced.
"Twinkle Twinkle and make us proud. Even though I may not be happy with many things around the team, you fly our flag. Make our Nation proud and play your hearts out. Let's go!"
He held such optimism even when the team lost against Morocco in their first game. According to him, there was still enough time to turn things around.
"Still, I want to believe. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I want to hold on to hope. 2 more games to go! It is still possible to twinkle in Cameroon! Let's go Black Stars!
However, his opinion started shifting after the team drew against Gabon in their subsequent game. He said the team is failing to encourage the citizens to support them.
Black Stars make it soo hard to believe and keep hope. Nanso we go support them make dem come house. If we support them to stay Yaounde and they are playing to come back to Osu, make dem pack bag come eh. 🦁😡🇬🇭 pic.twitter.com/DBpXFYrzqq
