Former Manchester City forward Aminu Mohammed has signed a one-year deal with Ghana Premier League side Bechem United.
He becomes the club’s fourth signing after the additions of Abdul Basit Mohammed, Frank Promise, and Dennis Votere.
Aminu, who joined the English Premier League side from WAFA in 2018 for a reported fee of ÂŁ2 million, was released in 2022 after a series of loan spells.
The 24-year-old, who starred for Ghana’s U-17 team at the 2017 FIFA World Cup, has not featured competitively in over two years.
“The former Man City U23 star joins us for the 2025/2026 season! With his pace, power and European flair, Aminu is set to bring flair, creativity and goals to our frontline,” Bechem United posted on their social media platform.
Aminu scored five goals in four games for WAFA during the 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League season.
The upcoming season kicks off on the weekend of September 12, with Bechem United set to travel to face defending champions Bibiani GoldStars at Duns Park.
