A fuel tanker carrying 54,000 litres of petrol has been involved in an accident at Dominasi Toboasi along the Mankessim–Fosu road.
In a post on Thursday, January 15, the Ghana National Fire Service confirmed that the tanker, with registration number AS 5140-24, was involved in the incident under circumstances yet to be determined.
It said firefighters from the Mankessim Fire Station were immediately dispatched to the scene and are currently managing the situation to prevent any escalation, particularly given the highly flammable nature of the fuel on board.
