Newly crowned champions GoldStars FC will officially be presented with the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League trophy on Saturday, June 14, 2025, after a ceremonial coronation match against regional rivals Medeama SC at the Duns Park in Bibiani.
The Miners made history last Sunday by clinching their maiden league title in emphatic fashion, dismantling relegated Accra Lions 4-0 in front of their jubilant home fans. The result capped off a dominant campaign for the Bibiani-based side, who have become the third consecutive club from the Western Region to lift the top-flight trophy.
Saturday’s encounter with Medeama kicks off at 3pm local time (15:00 GMT).
After the final whistle, the champions will be formally decorated with medals before being handed the coveted Premier League trophy, marking the pinnacle of a remarkable campaign that has rewritten the history books in Bibiani.
Saturday’s coronation is expected to draw a capacity crowd at Duns Park, as fans from Bibiani and beyond gather to witness the crowning moment of Gold Stars’ fairytale season.
