Medeama SC staged a spirited second-half comeback to defeat Berekum Chelsea 2–1 at the T&A Park, stretching their unbeaten run in the Ghana Premier League to 10 matches.
The visitors struck first after just 12 minutes when Faisal Shaibu finished off a neat move to hand Chelsea an early advantage. The goal forced Ibrahim Tanko’s side to adjust their approach as they pushed aggressively for an equaliser, but despite several promising opportunities, Medeama went into the break trailing.
Head coach Ibrahim Tanko made a key change at halftime, introducing Braye Sulemana for Kelvin Yeboah, and the switch paid off almost immediately. Ten minutes into the second period, a precise cross from the right found Amo Mensah, who rose superbly to head home the leveller.
With 11 minutes left on the clock, midfielder Salim Adams produced the moment of the match, unleashing a stunning 30-yard strike that sent the home crowd into raptures and sealed a dramatic turnaround for the Mauve and Yellow.
The win lifts Medeama to the top of the league table, three points clear of Aduana FC, while Berekum Chelsea slip into the relegation zone.
