Havertz, Wirtz headline Germany squad for Ghana friendly

Julian Nagelsmann has named Germany's squad for the upcoming games, which form part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

The 2014 world champions will face Switzerland and Ghana in the international window later this month as they close in on their preparations for the tournament.

The 26-man squad is headlined by the return of Kai Havertz while Liverpool's Florian Wirtz is also called up for the two games.

Antonio Rudiger also makes a return to the national team after being absent in the last international break

Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich, Jonathan Tah, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka and Lennart Karl also make the squad alongside Newcastle United duo of Malick Thiaw and Nick Woltemade.

Germany's game against Ghana is scheduled for March 30, three days after the Black Stars have faced Austria.
