On Saturday, January 27, 2024, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will conduct its primaries to elect parliamentary candidates in constituencies where the party has incumbent Members of Parliament.
The successful candidates will subsequently represent the party in those constituencies during the general elections in December.
Notably, the party has already chosen candidates in constituencies without sitting MPs, referred to as orphan constituencies.
With 326 candidates cleared for the primaries, several sitting MPs are running unopposed.
