The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has used its Christmas and New Year message to reflect on its first year in office, emphasising initiatives aimed at restoring public trust, stabilising the economy, and enhancing the efficiency of state institutions.
In a statement released by the party’s National Secretariat on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and signed by General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC acknowledged the mandate entrusted to it by Ghanaians and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering on its governance objectives.
The statement noted that 2025 was a year of decisive policy actions designed to address economic challenges and lay a foundation for long-term growth, while also prioritising social protection and accountability.

“This festive season marks a year since Ghanaians entrusted the NDC with the responsibility to govern. We recognise this trust and remain committed to translating our vision into meaningful improvements in the lives of citizens,” the statement said.
Looking ahead, the NDC highlighted key priorities for 2026, including economic recovery, youth employment, stronger public institutions, and better living standards.
The party assured the public that it will continue to pursue results-oriented governance, responsive leadership, and disciplined management of national resources, while managing public expectations as the country moves into the new year.
The statement concluded that the government would sustain efforts to stabilise the economy, implement impactful policies, and maintain a focus on improving livelihoods, signalling a continued commitment to accountable and people-centred governance.
