In a session marked by both solemnity and high political energy, President John Dramani Mahama appeared before Parliament on Friday, 27th February 2026, to deliver the State of the Nation Address (SONA).
The address, a constitutional requirement, served as a comprehensive audit of the country’s current health and a bold blueprint for the final year of his administration's current term.
Dressed in a traditional smock, the President was received by the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, and a full house of legislators, members of the diplomatic corps, and traditional leaders.
