The trending football topic in Ghana for the last few days has been Asamoah Gyan.
The former Ghana captain has said that he wants to play at the coming World Cup in Qatar.
As expected, opinions are split.
The BBC journalist whose interview has caused these ripples, John Bennett, joined the Joy Sports team to reveal the backstory behind their chat - saying that Gyan's admission was actually not the main reason for the interview.
In this podcast, Gary Al-Smith hosts Bennett as well as colleagues on the desk George Addo Jnr, Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo and Owuraku Ampofo.
The session was recorded via Joy Sports Twitter Spaces on Friday, August 19, 2022.
