Police in the Ashanti South Region have arrested a 25-year-old man in possession of 207 rounds of ammunition and three magazines.
Yussif Mohammed was arrested at the Asankare barrier by the Konongo Divisional Police, assisted by some public-spirited persons.
The ammunition was found among other items in a backpack.

The suspect was on a passenger bus bound for Accra from Kumasi when the backpack with the said items fell from the bus.
According to the police statement, read by ACP Cephas Arthur, "the attention of the police who were busy on duty close by was drawn to it and they apprehended the 25-year-old man who claimed ownership of the said backpack."
Among the items found in the seized bag include "two empty CZ magazines, one empty G3 magazine and two G3 magazines loaded with eight rounds of ammunition each."
Others are "thirty-five rounds CZ ammunition, 42 rounds of AK 41 ammunition, 97 rounds of G3 ammunitions, 16 rounds of Redheaded G3 ammunitions and a quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp."
A bulletproof vest, two smocks with talisman embedded in them and two pairs of military trousers and boots were also in the bag.
The Police have launched investigations into the incident as part of processes to arraign the suspect before court.
Regional Commander, ACP Joseph Hammond Nyaaba, has assured persons with the area of preparedness to deal with crime.
"The Command wants to sound a note of caution to the general public, especially, criminals and would be criminals that we have stepped up our operation to rid our community of all criminals and social misfits, and create a congenial atmosphere for the good people to go about the socio-economic activities without fear or hindrance," he added.
